Center for International Students & Scholars (CISS)

 
The Center for International Students & Scholars (CISS) can help students with questions related to legal and regulation issues (e.g. social security numbers, driver licenses, health insurance, and travel). CISS also provides resources for students to ease their adjustment to a new culture and environment.

Orientation for international students is designed to help you acclimate to life in the United States and at UConn. You’ll learn more about our programs, student community, and on-campus services.

English Proficiency Policy

 
All Teaching Assistants (TAs) for whom English is not a primary language must pass an oral English proficiency test regardless of citizenship or visa status. A primary language is defined as a language used to communicate since childhood.
