Cara Manning

(Ph.D., Massachusetts Institute of Technology/Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution) Assistant Professor of Marine Sciences

I will be an Assistant Professor at UConn beginning in January 2022 and I am currently recruiting a graduate student to conduct research in gas biogeochemistry beginning in fall 2022.

My research focuses on developing and applying methods to measure gases and other biogeochemical tracers (e.g., stable isotopes) in the environment. A particular focus of my research is on mobile methods that enable high throughput observations in dynamic systems. I have experience applying these methods to conduct research on topics ranging from marine productivity, to Arctic greenhouse gas emissions, to the environmental impacts of resource development and nutrient pollution. Please see my website http://caramanning.com/ for more information.

I invite people to contact me by email if they may be interested in joining the group or developing collaborations.
