Postdoctoral Research Associate in Marine Sciences University Of Connecticut Avery Point Campus
A postdoctoral opportunity is available to participate in research focused on environmental physiology and toxicology of shellfish and other benthic suspension-feeding invertebrates. We seek a motivated individual to participate in and enhance ongoing research in one of the following areas of study: 1) the impacts of nanomaterials and microplastics on larvae and adults, or 2) the functional significance and mechanistic role of the microbiome on cellular and physiological processes of the host. The work will be carried out predominately in laboratories at the University of Connecticut, Department of Marine Sciences, at Avery Point, under the guidance of Dr. J. Evan Ward.
