The Department of Marine Sciences of the University of Connecticut is pleased to announce A Minor in Marine Biology
The minor in Marine Biology requires at least 15 credits of 200-level course work. Details of this minor are given in the undergraduate catalog. Course offerings include: Marine Biology Biological Oceanography Marine Microbiology Marine Invertebrate Biology Plankton Ecology Benthic Ecology Seminar on Marine Mammals Environmental Physiology of Marine Animals Molecular Approaches to Biological Oceanography Biology of Fishes Pollution and Bioremediation Special Topics taken in a Foreign Study Program A Plan of Study for the Minor in Marine Biology needs to be approved by an advisor in the Department of Marine Sciences and submitted to the Degree Audit Office during the first four weeks of the semester when the student expects to graduate.
